10 Motivating Tips to Stick to a Fitness Routine

1. Pick an exercise you love

You are more likely to stick with a fitness program if you are having fun! Find sports or other activities you enjoy doing. Then vary the routine, so you don't get bored.

2. Make it part of your lifestyle

Schedule workouts as you would any other important activity. They should become part of your daily routine. Try slipping in physical activity all day long. Get creative!

3. Set realistic goals

Do you want to lose weight? Or build muscle mass? Improve your game? Write it down! Start with a simple goal. Then increase it more to the next one & so on. Make it a point to do physical SOMETHING everyday!

4. Reward yourself

5. Keep yourself accountable

Exercise is so much easier when you have someone to exercise with. You can keep each other motivated. Talking to each other helps to distract you from the time it takes to finish, like walking on a treadmill. Before you know it you are done.

7. Get your rest.

Part of any exercise plan includes recovery time. Take enough time to rest in between workouts. This will help you to stay on track with your program. Getting your rest helps you with energy.

8. Focus on the positive.

Concentrate on the benefits! Sure working out can be tough, but think about the benefits. Think about how good you will feel & look.

9. Surround yourself with positive sounds, music, images, & sensations.

Listen to motivating music while you exercise. Think of how amazing you will look and feel. Post a picture of what you want to achieve.
 

10. Don't give up!
